| Scope: |
The Directive applies to 57 types of
equipment used outdoors. Most of them fall within three
main categories:
- building site and engineering machinery
- street cleaning and refuse equipment
- garden and park maintenance equipment.

| Our experience: |
LNE was the first European
laboratory to measure noise emitted by building site machinery,
for which France introduced regulations as early as 1972.
Most of the test codes now applied throughout Europe were
developed or validated by LNE.
