Medical devices: LNE/G-MED and JQA (Japan) sign recognition agreement
Under a first recognition agreement signed in Tokyo in November 2008, LNE/G-MED may now work in partnership with quality assurance organization JQA, in the context of Japan's PAL regulations, on initial audits of quality management systems for manufacturers wishing to market their electromedical and in vitro diagnostic devices in Japan.
For control and renewal audits, LNE/G-MED is authorized to work independently.
A second recognition agreement to be finalized by mid 2009 will enable LNE/G-MED to perform audits in Japan for CE marking.
