Characterization of materials is an essential step in product design. Before a design can be validated, materials must be assessed for their resistance to mechanical, thermal and climatic stresses, their behaviour over time and their effect on the environment.
LNE is one of the leading French laboratories for characterization of construction materials and products.
It is a notified body for the European Directive on Construction Products, in particular for thermal insulation products, metal smoke flues, floor coverings and fire reaction of building materials.
